Friends in and near Boston I need your help!!! Please put the word out - the dog I was walking tonight slipped out of her collar and took off, I cannot find her! She is a small female whippet, white and grey and answers to the name Gracie. She is very fast and very skittish. She was last seen on Beacon and Joy - if you see her PLEASE contact me IMMEDIATLY.

Hi, I actually saw this dog while I was walking home from work yesterday; she seemed very frightened/skittish and wouldn't come to me when I called her. I saw her running down Staniford St., past the large office building that is adjacent to North Station. I really hope you find her! And for future reference, whippets and greyhounds should be walked with harnesses, because their heads are so narrow that they easily slip out of normal collars- I say this as the owner of a very skittish greyhound.

I wanted to let you know that the dog was located in good health, though she'd traveled several miles from the place she slipped her collar. Thanks to everyone who passed the message along online, the kind stranger who found her had no trouble contacting her owner.
