This dog is eight months old, a service dog in training for a woman with fibromyalgia and anxiety disorder, and has NEVER BITTEN ANYONE OR SHOWN ANY AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR. Her crime is being an unspayed pit bull, and the law doesn't allow her family to simply get her spayed...it says she must be destroyed. If you have any interest in animals at all (or laws that make sense), you must read this story.

I want to thank you so much for caring enough to post this story. We're hoping things are looking up. Tammy has been put in touch with an excellent lawyer and a PayPal account has been set up for donations to help her fund her legal fees. Transport is being arranged to get Daisy out of Canada and she has a home waiting for her if everything comes together! :)

I haven't been able to find any more information--I originally picked up the story from Deanna's wonderful "For the Love of the Dog" (http://petloverstips.com/ForTheLoveoftheDog/) blog, and Dogster was working it pretty hard for a few days, but since...radio silence. I'm not sure whether that's a good sign or an ominous one!
